A
good game to watch today lads. You kept Peak on their toes. Here's for
a better season next year. Perhaps a few players should remember that
football is a team sport and the game doesn't revolve solely around them.
Less sulking and more talking instead of arguing will get you much further.

"It's
absolutely amazing that we can have a 16-strong squad one week...and struggle
to raise enough players the next. It leaves the impression that the majority
don't really want to play football or perhaps just not for Holloway. It's
a kick in the teeth for those who put the effort in behind the scenes,
and the small band of players who do all the jobs on the Saturday."

Sounds
like the win on Saturday was well deserved! Keep it up chaps, it's sounding
good.

Wonder
winger Jason Barnet? (see
report) Does he 'wonder' whether he'll make it to the end of
the match? Tee, hee!

Let's
get what we deserve today in a good win. We were so unlucky in the cup....and
that was playing against the top of the league!!!!! We are a great team,
play some great football and we can beat anyone if we put our minds into
it. Good luck lads!!!!!

AT
LAST A GAME OFF FOOTBALL
Glad to see we're going with a strong squad with not playing for a couple
of months. Hope we can take some supporters with us as am sure they've
been missing it just like us and as i'm sure it wiil be a physical game
every little bit helps..

Watched
the last two matches up at Lea Green and seen some fantastic football.
Such an improvement since last season and a pleasure to watch. You didn't
deserve to lose either, especially the 2-1 defeat. Some fantastic football!
Thanks to Drew for the fantastic website, rivals all the pro's. Keep up
the good work lads and you'll go far.

Good
luck at Tibshelf at the weekend and for rest of season. I'm hoping to
be at Tibshelf as we (Pinxton reserves) have no game. Keith's keeping
me up-to-date and says you're playing some good stuff, I know your capable
of getting promotion this season. Hello to everyone see you all soon.

Best
of luck for tomorrow lads!!! Sorry I can't be with you at pitch side but
will be cheering you along with the Rams and will be eager to see a better
result for you. Get last week out of your minds, look forward and play
to your real potential!!! See you all hopefully at your next match.

Great
to see my old friends Keith, Karl, Jay and Alan yesterday, although the
result wasn't great to see. Our goal was well taken and set up, so it
just shows what you are all capable of!!! Hard luck lads. PS. Wouldn't
mind putting my boots on once again for the team, so if you want someone
for the subs bench (and if The Rams are away of course) 100% would be
given!!! !

Don't
like people cowering behind anonymous messages, on this occasion I'll
make an exception...
Very
disappointed in the attitude and lack of effort and commitment to Lea
Holloway from certain players. You not only let the club down, you let
your team-mates and yourself down. You are better than this, let's have
a change of attitude for future games. People are giving a lot of time
and effort for this club and players should give the same on Saturday
afternoon.

Great
win today lads, let's just build on it for next week!!! Well done to all
the team!

We
need to get our act together or we will be the laughing stock. Come on
lads let's get started and compete, we have been poor so far and can play
so much better. Heads up, let's get started.
Simon Tunnicliffe, assistant manager (Sunday,

Chester's
(official club mascot) been practicing by barking at Hot Air Balloons,
so he's all ready to go!!! He'll make the first match, if possible!

Good
luck to all the team and back room staff for the coming season, let's
hope we have a good season if you all play as well as I know you can we
will not be far away from some trophies.
BEST OF LUCK FROM CLUB CHAIRMAN & TREASURER

Well
the new season's nearly here for you guys, hope it all goes well for one
and all. Spending alot of time in the pub, it seems to me you're getting
better each year, maybe a few more wins on the way this year. All the
best!

I
hate it when teams are upset with what i have wrote on yellowjersey, please
understand the report was emailed to me from Shirland. This was a report
of a game i did not see myself so i have to go with it. They did praise
you and said you have improved as a team. Hope no one thinks bad of me.
Ricky Wood, Matlock & District League
press officer (Wednesday, 29March)
That
Shirland report on www.yellowjersey.co.uk
is pathetic, it makes Saturday's game sound like we were only there to
make up the numbers. Complete garbage, although it has to be said that
some of their players congratulated us on the game and thought we deserved
something out of it!
Drew Robertson (Monday, 20
March, 2006)
A
big thanks to the 10 players who turned up (i know some players had genuine
reasons for none attendence). Special thanks to Bondy for making our 11th
man. Football is a team game and a few subs may have made all the difference.
Hope all our committed players get a little support in our remaining games.
A disgruntled manager.
The gaffer (Saturday, 18 March) Proud
Holloway with their heads held high!
Saturday
was a good win, but Pete mate you could 'ave looked so much happier with
ur 'spectacular' effort for your goal! Keep up the team spirit lads.!!.
Mike Gunter (Monday, 6 March)
Good
luck against Darley Lions tomorrow lads. I'm certain that there will be
a vocal, partisan crowd at Lea Green.
I
want to see more Wins before the season finishes!! The spirit in the camp
is superb and that will prevail. Just ensure that you all give 100% as
usual, heads up, be proud and the result will come. Oh, and try to leave
the ref to do his job. Tell him once, politely, if he makes a mistake
and walk away. We will get more that way than berating him.
Nigel Goodman (Friday, 3 March)
I'm
having a cortisone injection to get through the pain barrier this week
lads. Let's get back to winning ways this week boys we can catch these
with a couple of wins .....in the real league anyway without the deduction.
C,mon boys let's 'av 'em .
Dude (Wednesday, 1 March)
Sorry,
message got lost in system but, as ever, very appreciated by everyone
at the club!
Good
luck to all the lads at JB tomorrow, sorry I have to miss a game but you
can bet I'll be kicking every ball. Keep your mouths shut until the final
whistle,by which time we'll have our first away win of the season.
Speno (Friday, 10 February)
I'm
expecting a goal feast against JB 'f-in' United. No excuses. You've come
on great as a team the spirits superb, team-work is tremendous
and next season the settled squad will be challenging for honours. So
knock the living daylights out of them and knock the smug smile off that
pathetic shit who runs JB 'f-in' United! What's his name?
Secretary Drew Robertson (Wednesday,
8 February)
THANKYOU
LADS, it's a pleasure to be manager to a group of players like you. You
all have commitment and it's fantastic to see. Hope we can keep our support,
it's good to see and I know all the players appreciate it. BRING ON JB

Well
done last Saturday (against the Kings Arms) to the whole team a great
result.Sorry Imissed the game.
John Mumby
Great
website. Good to be able to keep in touch with what is happening from
deepest darkest Devon. Good effort from a Scottish bloke (Drew) considering
you lot know bugger all about footy!! By the way, Mack was always known
as "Van past it" in reference to his silky skills on the footy pitch which
he thought made him the Marco Van Basten of Derbyshire.
Bully
(Steve Reynolds)
Steady
on lads! We've just had to cut the kids' Christmas shopping budget now
it looks likely AFC Lea Holloway might actually win before Christmas.
Like the improvisation regarding the changing facilities. Am I right in
thinking we've got a new striker? Rumour has it he fell out of the back
of a lorry!! (Sorry, couldn't resist)

Don't
give up your day job, Gilly you need to watch a few more Chubby
Brown tapes!
Drew Robertson, secretary of the greats (well
will be if we can get a settled side together)!
Playing
stronger as a team this season but need more GOALS with only seven goals
in seven games? The table tells no tales.
G
Best (as signed, but not a clue who it's from because no e-mail address
left)
I've
also not played this season due to work commitments, but like to read
the reports. I can't wait to be involved against Bradwell (Derbyshire
Cup) for my first game of the season.
Ross
Evans , talented squad player
Haven't
played many games this season due to rugby fixtures. Match reports sounds
good. Just keep it together as a team.
Mike
Gunter, squad player whose rugby skills are taking him away from footie
good lucky to him from all at AFC Lea Holloway!
Keep
the team spirit going, we are playing some excellent football despite
some of the results. A big thanks to new club secutary from all the team
for the excellent work on the new web site and for his support on match
days.
Karl
Taylor , inspirational AFC Lea Holloway player
Heads
up lads, it's only a matter of time before that illusive win. Think how
